Biography

Greetings and salutations,
I am circus artist. I’m originally from Honolulu, Hawaii and currently living in West Virginia.
My journey as an artist began when I was 3 years old. My mother had enrolled me into Trampoline & Tumbling gymnastics called “Hawaii Academy”. That’s where I learned the fundamental building blocks of becoming a gymnast. I competed in the national championship in 2018 which I placed top ten on all 3 events. I then retired in 2019 and decided to expand my horizons.
While attending high school, I devoted most of my time to the arts while working towards my ... goal of becoming a circus performer. I took part in dance (contemporary & ballet) as well as theatre.
Starting in 2020, to keep moving forward with my dream to become a circus artist, I got my first Lyra/aerial hoop and began training. Unfortunately without the convince of attending a circus school due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I am self taught.
In 2022, I was selected to perform at an art showcase located in Charleston, WV called “Arts Alive” and after graduating high school that same year, I started working for Lewis & Clark Circus which was major stepping stone to where I am today.

Experience

I’ve been working in the circus business for 2 years and have been doing aerial hoop/Lyra for a total of 4 years.
I have performed with multiple different touring circus shows as well as resident shows.
Shows I’ve worked in: Lewis & Clark Circus, The Dancing Horses Theatre, Cirque Luzdalia, The Great Benjamin’s Circus.
Aside from working in shows, I also do a variety local events where I live in WV however, I’m wanting to expand my opportunities.

When it comes to doing a show, I let my heart shine through when it comes any act. No matter how big or small.
I first started doing aerial work in 2020 and unfortunately, I was unable to attend any circus school due to the Covid-19 pandemic. So, I had no choice but to teach myself everything when it comes to aerial hoop/Lyra.
I knew early on life that my dream was to perform.
My inspiration was when my mother introduced me to Cirque Du Soleil and after I saw my first show, that’s when I realized what I wanted to do in life, I wanted to make people smile.
After graduating high s ... chool, I worked for my first circus show called The Lewis & Clark Circus and have worked on a variety of different shows since.
I may not be perfect but who is? Nobody. All I can do is stay true to myself and give it all I’ve got in the end.
