Biography

D. David Morin was the ‘king of Commercials’ in America before moving to Africa to start his own production company (Slingshot Productions then Bungalow Four) and a professional acting school (Hollywood Acting Master Class www.thehollywoodclass.com ). The Hollywood High School grad who took Rita Wilson to his senior prom, is likely most known for his recurring role as the High School Principal in Netflix’s The Kissing Booth with Joey King and Jacob Elordi.

I walked into Papa Hem curious… and walked out completely enchanted. This show doesn’t just tell the story of Ernest Hemingway — it breathes life into the man behind the myth. What struck me most was how beautifully it balances his brilliance with his brokenness. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it opened up a side of Hemingway I’d never truly understood before.

So entertaining and engaging. Despite previously only knowing snippets about Hemingway’s life I was completely drawn in; not just by his story but Dave’s delivery was superb and his passion for his subject flowed through every word.

It’s truly fantastic, I loved it. From the moment Morin spoke, I was glued to the end, the Hemingway journey he takes the listener on is riveting 🧐… you could really tour with this, all over the world, seriously…from theatres, to beautiful libraries, to Universities … you need to take it on the road! This version & the way he performs it, needs to be heard.
