DARNELL THE ARTIST
The best new addition for your event/party. Introducing, USA Recording Artist and live entertainer, Darnell The Artist. Darnell was born in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up there in a very spiritual family - singing was a natural part of everyday life. You can hear the influence of gospel in his soulful voice, but contemporary artists such as Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra also impressed Darnell and shaped his extraordinary style.
In 1999, he released his first single "I wanna be your Lover" through the record company Sony Records Germany.
In 2000, he ... attracted attention with his track "WHOA!" and his album "DARNELL". The single release WHOA! spent 5 weeks in the German Single Charts (MediaControl), No. 3 in the German Black Charts, Top 20 in the German Black Year Charts 2001.
His R&B version of Black Rob's street anthem gave him the next level of club success, as well as a nomination at the German Black Music Awards for Best Male Black Music Artist.
Among other things, Darnell gained experience as tour support for major artist such as P.Diddy, DasEFX, and Blackstreet, Alexander O'Neal, The Weather Girls, Stylistics and many more.
His musical style is primarily R&B, but hip hop, pop and soul are also infused. With his mesmerizing voice, production skills and self-penned lyrics, Darnell is an artist who takes his work very professionally and seriously.
Darnell has been delighting crowds with his command of the stage with an unusual variety of styles and genres to include RnB, Hip Hop, Pop, and even Rock. He is considered by many to be one of, if not the best soul singers in Europe.
