What can we say of the Downtown Gypsies?
I awoke on my wedding day worried of all the things that could go wrong, sitting with a cup of coffee trying to have a few quiet moments before the inevitable chaos, when they begun their sound check. From the first few chords, to a few practice riffs they sounded magnificent! It truly helped set the mood for the rest of day, and I knew that everything was going to be perfect.
They responded professionally and fast to the power being cut mid ceremony (thanks Eskom).
But the magic truly begun once the first dance started. Not a soul was left sitting, people who were afraid to dance were hitting the dancefloor with an enthusiasm I'd never expected. Even the bar staff were having a small jig, until they too were spirited away to the dance floor to join us!
Truly a great band, they read the room and played to the crowd! Thanks again!
