Description

We are an aerial circus act called Dynamism, we create bespoke aerial acrobatic performances and perform on various circus equipment such as silks, hoop and trapeze, we also incorporate acro-balance and dance elements as we are a multidisciplinary circus arts act that merges physical theatre, circus acrobatics, movement and dance, to create a bespoke and unique act.

Experience

Initially I received bespoke training from an aerial circus company called 'Black & Blue' whereby I trained as an aerialist. We performed in numerous venues doing different events that were aerial circus orientated. 'Black & Blue' was a multi-disciplinary physical theatre company that incorporated different artistic disciplines to create a performance narrative.

Meet the Act

I was introduced to 'Black & Blue' circus as a university student studying theatre. I had an interest in physical theatre and was told to enquire about their range of courses that they were running at the time. I auditioned to be accepted onto their youth course but ended up opting for the adults classes instead. I ended up receiving bespoke training and even performing in numerous productions with 'Black & Blue' for over ten years.

Additional Information

As a result of my degree in performance art and my background with 'Black & Blue' I ended up opening my own place called 'Aerial Arts Studio'. whereby I'm currently teaching aerial acrobatics myself in St Helens.
