Description

It depends on who I’m playing with. In my jazz group I play piano and sing. We take requests and if we don’t have the song find one the person enjoys. We play a ton of swing dance events and dance studios. I play a lot of lounge music around town and create a mellow, romantic atmosphere for couples. In my honky tonk group we generally play more originals but take requests in that as well.

Set-List

I play a lot of jazz standards in my jazz group and originals. Some songs include My Funny Valentine, Don’t Get Around Much Anymore, Time After Time, Everybody Loves Somebody, Smooth Operator, Every Breath You Take, a ballad version of What is Love, The Way You Look Tonight, and lots of other standards. In the country group I mainly play a lot of classic country and stay away from pop. I play a lot of Willie Nelson, Ray Price, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and artists of that era.

Biography

I have been playing music my entire life and love performing jazz music. I’m twenty seven years old and the past five years have been really blessed to collaborate with a lot of musicians that have taken me under their wing and taught me a lot. I’ve take. Over twenty years of piano lessons, have been blessed to be able to perform regularly in New Mexico for the past six years, and am ready for some new adventures in my music career. Experience

I have been playing piano and performing piano pieces since I was four. I’ve been playing guitar since I was ten. I’ve been singing and songwriting since I was about fourteen years old. I have studied jazz theory since I was seventeen. I have played regularly with a big band group when I was twenty two for a couple years that I played piano in. I have worked for a number of restaurants in New Mexico, breweries, music venues, weddings, and private parties. My main gig in town is Vernons Speakeasy. I do brunch gigs at upscale restaurants such as Zinc Wine Bar & Cellar, Seasons, Savoy and Kosmos Astro Pub. We play a ton of swing dance events around town. One is called Gin & Jazz that we started at Tractor Brewing. We also play at one called Maple Dance Studio that we play at regularly.
