My name is Ethan Thoi or Y Thanh. I am an independent singer working internationally with pop, latin pop, and musical theatre music genres. I grew up in Melbourne and Sydney (Australia) where I trained in performing arts. I am known as a triple-thread performer because I sing, dance and act. I am more of a singer at this point of my life and I am a mix of Bruno Mars, Michael Buble and Ricky Martin. My credits include Broadway's Miss Saigon musical, Australian feature film - Strange Bed Fellows, A judge on a TV show - House of Dreams, Choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance... to name a ... few and I have released 5 albums and more than 15 singles. I can sing in English, Vietnamese, Chinese and Spanish languages.

Biography

Y Thanh (aka Ethan Thoi) is an Australian-Vietnamese/Chinese singer/actor who has worked professionally in Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. He was trained to be an all-round performer. He is able to sing in English, Chinese and Vietnamese.
Ethan graduated in Australia with a degree in health information management, but his passion lies in the artistic pursuit: singing, dancing and acting. His training schools are: Jaanz School of Singing, Melbourne Dance Academy, Sydney Dance Company, The Australian Film and Television Academy, and the Ho Chi Minh City Music Conservat ... ory.
In singing: he is the first Vietnamese artist in Australia who was chosen to perform for an international musical - Miss Saigon.
In dance: he is a dancer for an American cruise ship and for Andy Lau (a HK superstar). Recently, he choreographed for TV shows such as So You Think You Can Dance and events.

In 2009 he released his first album in VN, one of the songs from this album became quite popular and has been available on the Vietnamese karaoke system.
In 2011, he was a judge on a star search reality TV show – House of Dreams.
Up to now, he has released 5 albums and 15 singles. One of his single – An Afternoon Lullaby is available and distributed by Universal Music worldwide. His latest single is called Hidden Love which is in both Chinese and Vietnamese versions. His upcoming single will be called Maybe You’ve Got It Wrong in English, Chineses and Vietnamese versions.
