Biography
Evelyn Rose is a multifaceted artist and educator with over a decade of experience as a songwriter, recording artist, singer, actor, voice-over artist, music teacher, and music director. Based in the Bay Area, Evelyn works with students ages 5 to 45, offering expert instruction in singing, acting, and musical theatre.
She holds a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre from the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, one of the top conservatories in the field. In February 2025, Evelyn wrote and starred in her original one-woman musical, Rosie’s Brain, which debuted at a
... n Off West End theatre in London to critical acclaim, earning 4- and 5-star reviews.
Passionate about both performance and pedagogy, Evelyn continues to inspire the next generation of performers while actively contributing to the world of theatre and music through her own creative work.

Evelyn Rose, writer, producer and performer of this one-woman tour de force is a whirlwind of energy. From Rosie’s over-enthusiastic entrance as she arrives at college to her inhabiting of all the other characters in the story, there is no let up. She also plays guitar and sings her own songs. She is engaging, funny and irrestibly charming throughout even, or perhaps especially, when her behaviour is strange or challenging. Even the most curmudgeonly could not fail to be won over by a performance of such empathy, insight and wit.

Evelyn Rose (composer, writer, and performer of the piece) is the beating heart of this production - her infectious warmth and vulnerability are astounding from the moment she enters the space, immediately connecting with the audience and only strengthening our bond throughout the hour and 10 minutes she spends with us. Her ability to seamlessly switch between distinctive characters is exceptional, never once losing her footing or confusing the audience in the process. In fact, we are rapt from the get-go in this narrative, and so invested in relationships that she manages to create with such vibrancy even though it's all just her - truly, a masterclass in the one-person performance.
