Biography

Freedom Pulse is the unique 6-piece wind and percussion band (2 trombones, 1 sax, 2 French horns, drums) formed in the UK by Ukrainian and English musicians.
We play a variety of music with a broad stylistic range, with or without improvisation, including
• Covers of populsar songs
• Jazz
• Dixielend
• Ukrainian music
We are classically trained at conservatoires in Ukraine. We have played many genres , from
symphonic, theatrical (opera and ballet), rock festivals, jazz festivals, cinema music and have worked with some big-name popular artists in Ukraine.
We have travelled widel ... y on tour, including to Italy, Poland, Germany, South Korea and the UK.
Here in the UK, we have performed with Gavin Greenaway, the Emmy award-winning conductor, pianist and composer (Gladiator, Pearl Harbour Shrek, Wallace and Gromit). Greenaway has arranged works especially for performance by Freedom Pulse from the repertoire of celebrated German film score composer and music producer, Hans Florian Zimmer (Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, The Lion King, The Da Vinci Code, Sherlock Holmes, Dune).
