Description

We are both an original and cover band-- frequently our sets will intersperse with both, but we are more than willing to do cover-only sets. We also play lots of duo acoustic gigs. We can play from 30 minutes to 4 hours and anywhere in between. Artists that we cover include Janis Joplin, Rush, The Eagles, Franz Ferdinand, Foo Fighters, Jefferson Airplane, Pearl Jam, Yellowcard, U2, Miranda Lambert, and other artists and other rock/alternative/country rock adjacent tunes.

Biography

Few bands advertise themselves as a group which takes no prisoners, but that’s exactly what Gentry Blue does-- creating a passionate, raw sound involving pure classic inspired psychedelic and progressive rock with gothic undertones. Comprised of Lydia Gentry on vocals and electric violin, Brendan DeBonis on guitar, Will Gibson on bass, and Kaleb Kinyon on drums, Gentry Blue stay true to their roots as they seek to reflect the rock and roll aesthetics of this constantly changing world. Formed in late 2018 at Belmont University, the band's mission is to write songs with tactful instrumentals a ... nd catchy hooks, featuring topics ranging from analyzing different relationships, reflecting on a confusing world, to the depths of space and beyond using different tools at their disposal: powerhouse female vocals, electric violin, fuzzy guitar riffs reminiscent of the 1960s and 1970s, and thoughtful introspective lyrics.
