Description
James Hasler is an event host/compere/ MC, auctioneer and announcer who has a background in both customer service and the performing arts. He spent the best part of his 28 years in industry working for some of the world’s most prestigious car manufacturers, including Jaguar and Aston Martin and he was a champion for customer service with Saab.
However, throughout those years in the industry, he performed regularly at many live events, as well as acting on stage in his spare time. Following his extensive acting career as a successful semi-professional, James furthered his skills at City Li
... t in the City of London. It is these stagecraft skills and his years of experience in customer service that he uses now helping clients run their events with impact.
In 2012, James became a Team Leader at the London Olympic and Paralympic Games and constantly guided fresh teams of “Games Makers” throughout both events. Additionally, in 2012 James trained as a professional toastmaster so he could moderate formal events. Following training, he became a Fellow with the Guild of International Professional Toastmasters and has since obtained notoriety as one of the UK’s leading Master of Ceremonies in his guise as “The Man in the Red Coat” and was awarded the coveted title of Toastmaster of the Year in 2019 and more recently was the Global Winner in his role as Master of Ceremonies at the International Wedding Awards. It is in this role that he works with seven of the City of London’s Livery Companies as their Beadle. (A ceremonial role which involves much event moderation in this day and age)
In addition to his roles as MC/Compere, James is also a highly successful charity auctioneer and since 2013 has raised over £2.75m for good causes. Something he is particularly proud of and gets a real thrill out of.
Finally, in his role as James Hasler - Voice Artist, he can provide multi-accented recordings from his home studio or even act as a live event "Voice of God" and is used in this capacity regularly in parallel with his role as professional Compere of awards ceremonies in particular.
With now over 1000 events behind him he has worked all over the world leading events, from the 3 Vs - Venice, Vienna and (Las) Vegas, to Frankfurt, Brussels, Malaga, Basel, Bilbao, Brussels, Budapest, Cologne, Frankfurt, Malaga, Marbella, and extensively throughout London and the UK.
He is equally at home in someone's back garden for an intimate wedding, as he is in a stadium in front of 40000 people. So whether the event is an informal celebration, a themed event (see the pictures of Dumbledore, Kia and the Games Maker) or a formal function at The Mansion House, James has the training, experience and personality to make all feel welcome and the event appear seamless.

As a toastmaster, he has vast experience of formal events and dinners and this includes at least 6 dinners a year at Mansion House with the Lord Mayor of the City of London.
He has conducted over 20 Greek Weddings, 35 Jewish weddings, 35 Muslim Weddings, and over 100 Hindu weddings.

Presentation Skills Training
As a professional compere, I also preach what I practice.
For those wishing to obtain the confidence to speak clearly and confidently in public, or lead sessions at work, then this is for you.
We can either just concentrate on a particular presentation that you need to give, which could be something for work, a best man or head bridesmaid's speech, or even the most difficult of all, a eulogy. Or we can concentrate on presentation skills in general. We can also tailor the course depending on whether you will be presenting/speaking virtually or in person
We look at the following;
Why do you have a concern in the first place
Tips to help minimalise anxiety
How to structure your presentation/speech
Tips on the actual delivery
How to best use microphones (if applicable)
Tips on setting up - if presenting virtually
Depending on location - this course can be done via Zoom or in person.
