Biography

Joan Damian is fast becoming one of the most promising young talents on the international pop scene. He brings a much needed global perspective to his music, combining sounds from Africa, Europe and North and South America into a unique style all his own. Joan composes, produces and performs all of his music himself, allowing him to be in total control of his exceptionally compelling sound.
Joan was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and grew up in Miami, Florida. She spent her formative years developing the multi-genre tastes that would later define her career. Obsessed with everything from ... Luis Miguel and the Beatles to Michael Jackson, she was determined to find her own path in the music world.
Joan began traveling around Europe in search of his dream. She eventually ended up in Hamburg, Germany, where she was recruited to join the city's thriving musical theater scene. The opportunity also allowed him to drastically improve his musical skills and gave him the confidence he needed to strike out on his own.
With the release of her first solo material, Joan is charting bold new territory in the world of pop music. Whether it's a soulful ballad or an upbeat Afro-pop number, she brings an unmatched enthusiasm to each song. With a steady stream of new content expected in 2022 and beyond.

It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Joan Damian Martinez Pereyra, a former member and musician of Segadores de Vida Church in Hollywood, Florida. As his Pastor for approximately 4 years, I can speak with confidence about his abilities and qualifications. Joan is a very talented musician with excellent skills not only in playing instruments, singing and songwriting. He has always supported the church community with his ambitious and positive attitude. Therefore, Joan has been both admired and respected by the members of Segadores de Vida. He has consistently demonstrated a great ability to rise as a music teacher, teaching guitar, piano and vocals to children from the age of 7 till 16 years. He took part in the church services as a guitarist, bassist and occasionally as a keyboard player. Joan also was a great asset to our worship team and composed several musical pieces for our church as well as being part of our video production team.

As part of the search for musicians for our new production of "TINA - dasMusical" at the Operettenhaus Hamburg, which will premiere on March 3, 2019, we have selected Joan Damian Martinez Pereyra in a long process and would like to sign him immediately for this production. Months of national and international search for a musician who meets the requirements that the play us. The musician we were looking for plays bass in Ike Turner's band and can be seen on stage. Therefore, the musical requirements are very specific, along with the skin color, which must be dark for reasons of historical accuracy and credibility of the musical. Joan Damian Martinez Pereyra has clearly prevailed in an audition and is the only candidate who meets the requirements that we have musically and artistically to this position.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Joan Damian Martinez Pereyra. I have known Joan for four years. He was recommended to me by some key musicians in the music industry shortly after the release of my first EP “Como Soy” and I needed the right music director for shows in the Miami area. Joan was able to impart his enthusiasm in my career shortly after we met, his reliability and commitment made everything easier. He understood my music to the core, providing strong and well-seasoned guitar playing, vocals and music directing skills to every rehearsal and show. His tact to choose the right musicians is also a great quality he possesses. In every rehearsal and/or show I was able to observe his fine communication skills as a band leader. These characteristics have contributed to a pleasant and very productive working atmosphere.
