From the tender age of 5, he found solace and inspiration at the piano, earning statewide accolades for his compositions throughout elementary school. The eldest of three siblings, Jordan charted new territories by stepping onto the professional theater stage at just 14, landing his inaugural role as Peter in "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." Jordan entered high school in the competitive landscape of the Granite School District, boasting 68,000 students. Honing his craft, he secured leading roles in stage productions throughout junior high and high school, ultimately earning the esteemed Granite District Green Sheet Award for "Best Leading Male in a Musical" during his junior year at Hunter High School, where he portrayed Jean Valjean in "Les Misérables." He also excelled in visual arts, earning statewide recognition for his creative artwork while attending school.
Beyond the footlights, Jordan's multifaceted interests led him to excel in athletics, participating in football, soccer, volleyball, and track. His athletic prowess paralleled his theatrical achievements, culminating in dual state championships in football and basketball during his senior year at Hunter High School. That same year, Jordan was chosen to be personally workshopped by esteemed composer Jason Robert Brown at the Utah Theater Conference, marking a pivotal moment in his artistic journey.
Eager to further his training, Jordan obtained a full scholarship to study musical theater at Western Wyoming Community College, where he not only thrived in many lead roles but also showcased his prowess as a musical composer, helping to write several songs for the college’s original musical productions. He enjoyed touring various parts of the country with the Wyoming Deseret Dance Troop performing in modern dance, jazz, tap, and ballet. His dedication extended beyond performance as he served as a class accompanist and theater manager while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and making the Dean’s List. Following his collegiate success, Jordan embarked on a transformative two-year church mission to Denmark, where he became fluent in Danish and assumed leadership roles overseeing the mission's operations throughout Scandinavia.
Upon returning to the United States, Jordan continued to pursue his passion at Brigham Young University, where he was a member of the distinguished BYU Young Ambassadors, showcasing his talents on both national and international stages. Balancing his rigorous academic pursuits with professional engagements, he immersed himself in various dance styles and gained experience as a choreographer, playing leading roles in the University’s stage productions and as an actor in local television productions. Before graduating with his Bachelor's in Musical Theater, he took a year sabbatical to perform professionally in equity productions at the Tuacahn Amphitheater as an understudy for Kenickie and Roger in “Grease” and ensemble for the regional premiere of “The Little Mermaid.”
Jordan's professional journey continued in Branson, Missouri, where he has been dazzling audiences for the last 11 years as a featured singer and dancer in iconic productions at renowned venues such as the Caravelle Theatre, Showboat Branson Belle, and the Clay Cooper Theater. His professional repertoire has spanned several genres including rock, pop, country, and classical as well as being a part of the vocal groups “The Showman” and “3rd Power”. He currently manages a busy schedule averaging 12 shows a week, working simultaneously in the productions “#1 Hits of the 60’s”, “Hot Rods and High Heels”, and “The Clay Cooper Country Express”. Continuing his skills of arranging music for several theaters and local high school show choirs, he also serves as a vocal captain/swing for other shows. Jordan's performances have captivated audiences with his dynamic vocal range and charismatic stage presence that have garnered him several local awards and accolades.
Beyond his artistic pursuits, Jordan is a devoted father to his seven-year-old son and a loving husband to fellow entertainer Kaylee Riggins.
