Biography

Born in Budapest, Hungary, Lakatos is a world-renowned guitarist who re-defines the art of guitar playing in every one of his concerts. He is an innovator, a one of kind performer with extraordinary talent, charisma and contagious energy.
He grew up surrounded by talent. Rooted in Hungarian gypsy music through his grandfather, father, and uncle all from the Lakatos dynasty, internationally known as famous violinist virtuosos, and musicians who have contributed to the preservation of gypsy music and traditions. By the age of four Lakatos was already playing the Cimbalom. He then studied at ... the Conservatory of music in Budapest and refined his exceptional abilities as well as his taste in music. By age seventeen he was performing with his own music band in Canada, France, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Holland, Arabia and other countries around the world.
Lakatos is a composer, a guitar genius that writes unique pieces filled with passion and life. He is a musician with a “gypsy heart” who will romance any audience with his slick and magical approach to making the guitar sign like an angel, or explode with rhythm and power.
