Never 42 is the expression of their combined passion for the musicianship of Mark King and Mike Lindup and the upbeat jazz funk sound that is Level 42. Since forming the band, they have gained many fans and worked on honing their tribute act to perfection. The result is a tight live performance which recreates the unique sound and feel of platinum pop band Level 42 with uncanny accuracy and has earned them the reputation as the UK’s no. 1 Level 42 Tribute Band.

Biography

This impressive 6 piece band whose members include Howie Rogers (bass, vocals), Matthew Girling (Keyboards, vocals), Marc Tondeur (drums), Joe Bout (guitar, vocals), Lou Gains (Vocals) and Jade Gall (Sax & Alto Sax), formed in 2014. Individually brilliant musicians, they bring to the band extensive musical careers which include touring with professional music groups.

I can’t wait to catch these guys again and I can’t recommend Never 42 enough if you’re a Level 42 fan. Catch them when you can and let these micro kids weave their spell over you. You won’t be able to resist going along for the Level 42 musical journey with them…

Never 42 are a jazz funktastic night out, “Guaranteed” to hit the right note as they speed their fans through the greatest hits of their favourite band. Hammering out Level 42 classics from “Running In the Family” to “Hot Water”, from “Lessons In Love” to “World Machine”, all of the crowd will be on their feet by the opening notes of the “Sun Goes Down (Living It Up)” finale. Never 42 are all of the ingredients for the ultimate 80s party night out. Squint and you’ll think it’s the real Level 42 – but don’t be fooled, these guys – all serious musicians in their own right – are far more than a tribute act. The quality really is that unerringly good. Never 42 – there really is “Something About You”…

WOW this band was on point, very tight and their performance was absolute pleasure, rolling back the years for me. I closed my eyes a few times and thought i was back at Wembley Arena 1986!
