I am a solo singing artist and play acoustic guitar. I specialize in singing both classic and current country, yacht rock, soft, rock, southern rock and some R&B. I typically play in bars, lounges, small cruises and other similar venues for happy hours and other events. I am also available for special events such as weddings, engagement and anniversary parties, community and corporate events and private parties. I perform for 2 hours minimum and will go up to four hours maximum. I am willing to travel and will
travel for an additional fee if travel is greater than 60 from my home base.

Biography

I have been a musician nearly all of my life. I started playing drums when I was young living in Dallas, Texas. By the time I was 15 years old I was playing professionally all around Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. I played drums for Hank Williams, Sr. back up band all through high school. In the early 1990s I moved from Texas to Erie, Pennsylvania where I played drums and eventually started singing lead in a local country band called Southern Fried. While with the band we had the opportunity to open for a number of national acts including Sammy Kershaw, Neil McCoy Patty Lovelace, Kansas, C ... harlie Daniels, Tracy Lawrence, Willie Nelson and Tracy Lawrence, just to name a few. After Southern Fried disbanded, I joined another local country band as lead singer and rhythm guitar player called Next of Kin. I sang lead for them for 18 years. While with Next of Kin we played bars and venues around the tri-state area in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. We had the opportunity to open for Big and Rich, Scotty McCreary, Rascal Flatts, JoDee Messina, Gary Allen, and Lone Star. After Next of Kin retired, I started my own band, 100 Proof which toured the tri-state area for two years until COVID forced us to take an hiatus. During COVID I decided to go solo and took the opportunity to expand my horizons and learned music from a variety of other genres including soft rock, yacht rock, southern rock and even some R&B. In 2021 I took my show on the road and traveled to Key West where I spent the winter playing in bars, sunset cruises and other resorts and venues up and down the keys. I have continued to work in Key West every winter for the past five years. I have also travelled up and down the east coast playing bars and venues in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. In 2024 I had the amazing experience of driving across the country and performing in Montana and North Dakota for a month. In July 2025 I had my first experience opening as a solo artist for a national act. I opened for Diamond Rio in Geneva on the Lake, Ohio.

Experience

The majority of my experience performing has been singing lead in a country band. With the three bands I lead over the past 40 years, I have played in bars and other establishments as well as community events, festivals, and celebrations. I have also opened for dozens of national acts in a variety of venues.
