Oozing the raw live energy of the early Pretenders, Pure Pretenders replicate the sound of one of the most iconic bands to come out of the post-punk period of the late 70’s.
Playing material from the bands extensive back catalogue stretching from the 70’s to present day, including the hits Brass in Pocket, Back on the Chain Gang, Stop your Sobbing, Kid and Don’t Get me Wrong.

We're the Pure Pretenders and have been playing together as a band for many years, but after a post rehearsal dicussion one night, we all decided that the Pretenders songs that we did were the highlight of our set, so we thought 'Lets do more of that!'
We all have a great love for Chrissie Hynde and the band, especially the original line up.
