Versatile electric bass player and multi-instrumentalist with years of experience in function and
originals bands. Largely self-taught after doing some grades at piano and studying GCSE music, I first
picked up a bass when a music teacher at school needed someone to accompany him at jazz
function gigs.
Career highlights
Bass player and band leader – ListenOut! (2021-present)
Performed at dozens of weddings and events, mainly as bass player and band leader. Responsible for
setting up PA system, paying other musicians and running a Spotify disco servi ... ce until the end of the
evening. Job involved liaising with clients, venues and entertaining guests, requiring excellent
communication skills. Bands were three and four piece function bands in different styles, such as a
three-piece country/rock band, female-led party band, and four-piece boy band.
Bass player - Fantastic Elastic Band (2019-21)
Bass player for well established rock and pop covers band, after a successful audition among dozens
of applicants. Performed gigs every weekend (lockdown permitting) at pubs and clubs to a high
standard. Musical styles included rock, pop and Irish folk song covers.
Bass player and Act Owner – Earcandy (2016-22)
Bass player for agency running gigs at weddings and corporate events. Began working as a regular
bass player for a female-led pop tribute act, then spent one season working as bass player in a soul
and funk band, then was hired as Act Owner for a Motown tribute act in 2022. Highlights included
organising a 10-piece Motown band for a wedding, including rhythm section and horns and playing
for the SAS at their top-secret base.
Bass player – Jessica Murae – 2016-2017
Played in Jessica Murae’s band, an originals artist who was awarded a grant from Sony to write and
perform music. Played at high profile locations including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and Kensington
Roof Gardens.
Lush Tones – Guitar player and band leader (2019-present)
Formed my own acoustic duo, Lush Tones and found work performing gigs including at a corporate
event and a nightclub. Arranged promo material, found work through agencies, found singers,
organised rehearsals and performed gigs.
Soul75 – Bass player and band leader (2022-present)
Soul75 is my own soul tribute band of up to 10 players, with bookings already in place for 2023.

As a bass player I have learned from the best – bass legend Yolanda Charles has coached me after
spotting me performing at her jam night in London. I also had lessons with the late John McKenzie,
