Along with his partner Amanda James, who is a seasoned singer of the cabaret scene for over 30 years, they have formulated a show to be proud of. With her ... wealth of stage and performance experience working in musical theatre, clubs and venues across the country and cruises, Amanda kicks off the show belting out some classics. This culminates in a tribute to iconic singer Barbara Streisand with the two singers most famous duet, ‘you don’t bring me flowers’

Biography

Richard Jones is a born entertainer, there’s no doubt that from an early age had only one desire to be on stage performing. He started his singing career in punk/goth bands like ‘Witch and wardrobe’ in the 80’s/90’s, and then moving on to Indie/rock band ‘Spirit of Ecstasy, who were successful enough to play some of the biggest venues in the UK, headlining at the Marque, Kings college, Underworld, Subterrania and performing at Glastonbury festival. Also toured with doctor and the medics, Jesus Jones, Hazel O’Connor, Crazy head, and many others. In those days was minutes away from ... the ultimate success, by being offered a 7-album deal with Phonogram, that unfortunatly fell through, as highlighted the following review;

In another time and dimension Spirit Of Ecstasy could have been playing reunion shows at Hyde Park, clutched to our hearts as national treasures.
The Cardiff outfit fronted by full-throttle frontman Richard Jones, formerly of local goth punkers Witch and the Wardrobe, mixed punk, funk, rock and injected it with a shot of the all-pervading baggy flavour to marvellous effect.
Causing a record company chase that forced London-based A&R types to get out their maps and work out exactly where Wales was, they were offered a two-single deal with Food Records(EMI). For reasons that they still can't fathom all these years later they turned it down and the record label offered the deal to a young band from London called Blur.
Spirit of Ecstasy kept on keeping on. Now managed by former Eddie & The Hot Rods and Damned bass player Paul Gray, their perseverance was rewarded with another deal proffered up with Phonogram, but that fell through and spelled the demise of a band that were the ultimate nearly men.
