Description
Rocky Mountain High - Celebrating the Music of John Denver was first produced in March of 2018. Rick Worrall, together with John Denver's original arranger/conductor formulated the production as a celebrating vs. a "dress up like John" tribute act to honour the incredible legacy of song John left us. Staying true to Mr. Holdridge's original arrangements of John's hit songs, the production features Canadian recording artists Rick and Steve Worrall heading up a core band of award winning musicians from across Canada. Since its debut, the production has toured and performed with symphonies acr ... oss Canada. A Full symphony Christmas version, featuring the hits and John's Christmas music as well as a scaled down version have since been developed. What makes this production unique and apart from other John Denver tribute acts is Mr. Holdridge's direct participation. He was there at the height of John's career and as John himself often would say...is the genius behind his songs arrangements.
Experience
The production has toured and performed with major symphonies across Canada since 2018. A twenty Five centre tour is scheduled for fall 2024 combining all three versions of the production. Lee Holdridge tours with the full symphony productions.
