Rudy Lafrance (aka Kenzy) is a Miami-based guitarist who specializes in arranging unique guitar instrumentals of popular songs. Rudy’s ability to combine bass, drums, melody, and harmony on one guitar has earned him numerous opportunities to play at different venues and events throughout South Florida. Now in his mid-twenties, Rudy continues his pursuit of becoming one of South Florida’s most sought-after musicians for weddings & events.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music Technology from Florida Atlantic University, he hopes to incorporate his knowledge and new skills into ... his craft.

Experience

I've performed across South Florida for over a decade at venues such as Delroy Sands Resort, Nautilus by Arlo, the Kaseya Center, Historic Hampton House, and outside of Florida such as The Montage at Laguna Beach in California. I have refined my skills to the point where I've become versatile and adaptable in various genres such as Top 40, Pop, R&B/Soul, Spanish/Latin, Oldies, Motown, and Early 2000s. My guitar instrumentals can set the perfect vibe for any occasion. In addition, along the years I've learned to respect my clients' time and special event.

Previous Clients

One of my previous clients (a couple) requested that I specifically create guitar arrangements for six songs to be played for guest arrivals. In 1-2 weeks, I played for them each instrumental guitar cover and they enjoyed it. I had even drove to their house in-person to meet up and update them on my progress. They realized that I'd be an easy person to work with that doesn't need much, besides parking and a power outlet.

Meet the Act

I played guitar around South Florida starting around 2013 when I was 15 in high school. I was that kid always eager to play at a new venue because I wanted to be in the spotlight...then I was realized that it'd be cool to play out and get paid which took me around 6 years to finally happen...afterwards through some self-reflection I'd find out that I'm probably not getting paid what I should be. As I got older, refined my skills, and became more people-oriented, I started seeking people who truly valued my talents enough that they'd be willing to pay top dollar for their wedding, anniversary, ... corporate event, etc - although I'm still in the pursuit, I hope to perhaps run across YOU who truly sees that value I offer. I take time to self-reflect all of this during my long 1-to-2-hour walks that I take at least 5 days a week.
