Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Sarah started dancing when she was 4 years old.
At the age of 7, she met her Acro teacher, who introduced her to the world of Cirque Du Soleil. Inspired by the strong feats of the acrobats, Sarah really cracked down and took her training in dance and acrobatics seriously.
After she graduated high school, she auditioned for the Artist Preparatory Program at The Circus Lab in Langley, BC, and she trained and completed the 3-year program from 2019-2022.
What makes her stand out amongst her peers, is that she's profoundly deaf in both ears and wears a Coch
... lear Implant. With being a deaf artist, she trains differently than her hearing peers, focusing more time on her musicality and her facial expressions, as physical language makes more sense than spoken language. From speaking to her, you wouldn't be able to tell that she's deaf unless she points it out to you, or if you notice the hearing device on her head.
