Biography

I am Seraphina Starr—a burlesque dancer, aerialist, and costume designer—and my art is an exploration of the intersection between beauty, strength, and unapologetic individuality. Through my performances, I aim to celebrate the freedom to be both weird and beautiful, finding power in embracing the complexities of my own identity.
For me, burlesque is a canvas—a space where I can play with sensuality, humor, and transformation. It is a way to explore the layers of the self and shed them with grace and wit. But my performances are never just about the act of revealing; they are about th ... e art of reinvention, creating a world where I can simultaneously be daring and delicate, fierce and vulnerable.
Aerial work is where I truly feel suspended between the earth and the sky—an exploration of physicality that requires not only strength but deep trust in my body’s ability to defy gravity. I combine this aerial grace with pointe work, a fusion that brings together the elegance of ballet and the raw intensity of burlesque. Moving on pointe while suspended in the air feels like the ultimate form of liberation to me. It’s a delicate balance between beauty and athleticism, between artifice and reality, between the discipline of classical technique and the free-spirited energy of performance.
I make every costume with my own hands—each stitch is infused with intention, each fabric choice a reflection of the persona I am creating in that moment. The process of constructing my own costumes is a meditation on transformation, a way of expressing the layers of identity I embody as an artist. My costumes are as much a part of the performance as the movement itself—sequins, feathers, and lace become my armor, my wings, and my voice.
Ultimately, my work is about owning the parts of myself that are unconventional, surprising, and a little "weird"—and finding beauty in them. I want to show the world that you can be bold, ethereal, and uniquely yourself all at once. My art is my way of saying that beauty does not conform to any single standard; it is wild, it is fierce, it is unapologetic, and it is infinite.

Acting Experience

I grew up acting and dancing, which also required a lot of acting. I went to college for Theater and though I worked in the costume department, part of my training also included acting as well. About 5 years give or take of experience.

Modelling Experience

I have modeled since I was a young child in the beauty pageant circuit. As an adult, I have worked as a figure model for art students and a professional model for different projects.

My name is Seraphina Starr and I have been a dancer my whole life. I find so much love and joy on the stage and I love to entertain. I can be booked for a number of different events and have different acts based on bookings. I do circus acts with aerial performances on aerial hoops, chains, hammocks, and split silks. I also venture into doing these acts on pointe, blending my professional ballet training with the beauty of the circus.
