"a huge thank you for joining us at World Music Day last week. The children and staff were absolutely inspired by your fantastic sea shanties! What a session!
Your passion really shone through! Everyone loved it and it definitely got them thinking about music in new ways.
I think it would be brilliant to have you back for some more sessions soon! Maybe we could work together on a project next year where the children can explore different styles or even come up with their own shanties. It could really spark their creativity!
Thanks again for sharing your gift with us. We’d love to see you again in the future!"

Stuart came along to our Hanse Day as oartbof our maritime celebrations at True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum. The workshop was brilliant - very enjoyable, engaging for all ages. The fun and relaxed atmosphere created by Stuart allowed everyone to join in and work together. It was a really lively and interactive event where we could all learn and appreciate the history behind shanties through re-enacting life on the ships and learning new songs. Very well put together and for anyone of any singing ability, this is a highly recommended experience that we will be booking Stuart again for in the future.

Abbey WI ladies were recently entertained by Shantyman Stuart Green, what an entertainer! We learned about ships, hauling ropes, singing to rhythms, sailors tales and how many everyday idioms come from sailors and ships. We sang some shanty songs heartily if not tunefully and went home uplifted and happy, what more could anyone hope for in an entertainer, Stuart was funny and engaging. Well recommended indeed.

What a pleasure it was to have Stuart Green at our WI evening. He explained to us the origins of the sea shanty songs, and the beat which was dictated by the hauling of ropes. We sang and we laughed and had a really great evening. It was such a pity that we were limited for time as we could have all continued singing for ever! A really uplifting and enjoyable evening. I have been to a Sea Shanty evening before and will certainly be going again.

A massive thank you to the brilliant Stuart Green - Shanty Workshops for an entertaining afternoon of Sea Shanties and stories with the Oddfellows Cambridge crew!
If you were anywhere near Trinity Free Church, Huntingdon this afternoon you’d have heard our roaring choruses as we sang along to Sea Shanties! We were also to fascinated to hear many folklore tales of life on the ocean wave, and what the ‘Drunken Sailor’ shanty could also mean 🙊
Stuart had us all singing, laughing, and maybe dreaming of life at sea (or at least a fish and chips supper).
