The Ginger project (Music Duet)from Greece
Our duet consists of Doris Chiotis (voice, percussion) and Costas Bakopoulos (guitar, voice) and it has a wide and varied repertoire of different music styles (jazz, swing, pop, blues, latin jazz, soul, funk, disco, rock, rock and roll)and many foreign languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Portuguese)..
We are flexible and adaptable to the particular circumstances of each event or environment. The duet can provide a full entertainment experience for your audience and also we are capable to participate in bigger acts, or to coll ... aborate with other musicians to form a band that fits the requirements of your entertainment plans.

Biography

Doris Chiotis (born July 15, 1985) started studying different styles of music (jazz, soul, pop, greek music) at the age of 14. Since then she has studied singing and music theory and has participated in many different bands as a lead Singer. In October 2017, she participated with success in The Voice of Greece no 4 on 2017. She has a wide repertoire and she sings in English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Greek.
Costas Bakopoulos (born April 29, 1985) started playing the guitar at the age of 15. He owns a Diploma in Jazz guitar performance from the London College of Music and he ... is proficient in many different styles of music (jazz, rock, pop, blues, disco etc). Through his career he has been a member of many professional bands and has, also, worked as a guitar tutor for more than ten years.
Small bio about the band
Doris and Costas met each other in 2015. The year they started to work as members of the renowned Athenian disco group “Discopath”. They realized that they had chemistry as collaborators and the same taste in music. Shortly after they formed a quartet named “Doris and the Mixtapes”. Both groups are active and play gigs in Athens, Greece and abroad.
Apart from these projects Doris and Costas formed “The Ginger Project music duet” in 2017 because they wanted to form a flexible act with a varied repertoire suitable for smaller gigs, weddings, hotel entertainment and other special events.
They had a successful 4 months summer season in 2018 playing as a duet in the bar-restaurant of a 5-star Hotel (Myconian Collection) in Mykonos, Greece.
During 2021 and 2023 they have been working as a lounge duo in various cruise ships all over the world.
They have also played several private gigs for corporate events and weddings in Athens.

Doris has a beautiful voice and is a very talented, experienced, and professional performer. The guests have given great feedback for the Duo and the ratings have been constantly on and above target for the season. Even with health issues throughout the season Doris has always performed and made sure the show must go on, she is a true professional and I hope to work with her and Costas in the future

It has been good to be with Doris and her partner both at the beginning and ends of their contracts. Doris is like a ray of sunshine which she portrays in her personality in the Observation Bar with her partner. They are the most fantastic Duo and as I said earlier the guests love them. Doris is a well liked member of the Entertainment Department, I wish her well on her vacation and certainly hope to work with both her and Costas in the future.
