Description
The Graduates consist of pianist/vocalist Conal Duffy and drummer/percussionist Danny Cottrell. Our aim is to make your event interactive, spontaneous and fun! We never use a set list and select songs in the moment to suit the ambience. A key part of our approach is taking requests. We hope to involve everyone and like to become fully immersed in your event. We know events change from moment to moment and are happy to be flexible. We just enjoy playing! You'd probably be surprised with how much versatility our duo is, but we sometimes add a saxophone and/or guitar for clients who wants somethi ... ng extra. Over the years we've played anywhere from people's front rooms to Old Trafford Cricket ground and The Hilton. We've even ventured overseas!
Set-List
Anything from Frank Sinatra, Taylor Swift, Queen, Johnny Cash, Eminem, The Coral. Requests are key for us - we love a challenge!
Biography
The name The Graduates comes from our profession! We are both from teaching backgrounds - Conal was head of music at a successful secondary school, and Danny taught both music in schools and Counselling in Higher Education. Over the years we've played individually and together all over the world and at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, O2 Arena, and London Palladium. We've even backed Peter Kay, Robbie Williams, and Toploader!

We were lucky enough to have the graduates play at our Christmas party - they were absolutely amazing and everyone who attended commented how great the band where - playing all varieties of music accommodating all requests! They were that good I booked them again for next year on the night!

We had an absolutely fantastic night with this duo band! The combination of drums and keyboard with incredible vocals creates a full, dynamic sound that keeps the energy high all evening. They play all your favourite tunes across genres, making it irresistible for everyone to get up and dancing. Professional, talented, and brilliant entertainers, they know exactly how to read the room and deliver an unforgettable night. Highly recommended for any event looking for great music and atmosphere.
Experience
We have played for private parties and weddings of many high profile sports people and entertainers. Discretion is key, though, so we don't publicise these events. We have also performed at major corporate events for companies such as the Super League, Ellite Studios, Leigh Leopards, Wigan Warriors, Manchester United, Bolton Metropolitan Council, Stockport Metropolitan Council. Together and individually we have vast experience of session recording, national 'number 1' tours, TV work and so on. We have played as a duo for seven years and know how to read a room!
