Description

Yorky Pud Street Band is a Yorkshire-based "brash" band playing jazzed-up, funked-up covers of everything from "In the Hall of the Mountain King" to "Seven Nation Army" and "Bad Guy". We can also include a selection of originals, with an EP looking to be released in the summer.
With the volume that we can perform at, in many spaces we are able to go out with or without a PA, and we will often go roaming about the space on a whim! Bringing audience into the show, we can move around them, hand them percussion items, and generally go wild in the aisles any time we feel like it. Biography

From the mind of bandleader Nathan Kirby, Yorky Pud started in 2019 at York St John University as a large-scale "processional" band. Over the years, it has naturally transformed into the small, stable collective it is today.

Meet the Act

We can go out with a line-up from 3-6 players, depending on the style and size of venue we are playing, and we would be choosing between three and four players, with the forth member being the trumpet. We make the same great sound, we just tire quicker with fewer members!
