Biography

Martina and Lukáš, two acrobats and performers who found their way to each other in the new Prague circus group Losers Cirque Company. But this is not the first time their paths have crossed. The story begins in childhood, when most of us start with a sport discipline that attracts us, or our parents assigns it to us.
For Martina, it was Rhythmic Gymnastics that became a part of her for life. For Lukáš, it was Handball that nurtured him for 10 years. In recent years, however, he could not resist the beauty of body movement and started with Artistic Gymnastics. After two years, he switch ... ed to Acrobatic Gymnastics which stayed with him for the next 15 years. Martina’s life was filled by Rhythmic Gymnastics for 19 years and towards the end it seamlessly merged with aerial acrobatics. During her career as a gymnast, however, she jumped to Acrobatic Gymnastics, where Lukáš was just starting his acrobatic career, and they only briefly met.
In 2014, Lukáš became a founding member of Losers Cirque Company, while Martina gathered experience with AirGym Art Company and aerial acrobatics. After some time an offer came to expand the Losers team, and Martina and Lukáš met again in new circus theater performances. It is necessary to constantly improve and expand one's skills. Martina learned pair acrobatics and improved other arial disciplines, Lukáš, in addition to his specialization in pair and group acrobatics, discovered a big circle called Cyrwheel. And then Covid pandemic came.
The creative union of two people who motivate each other to move forward even when there is no light at the end of the tunnel inevitably leads to the creation of something new and perhaps even exceptional. And the Aerial Cyrwheel became the special one for Martina and Lukáš at the beginning of 2021. New, unknown, unseen in the world..

...The result of their experimentation and their own extreme movement dispositions became an almost quarter-hour movement dialogue. The feeling of slight dizziness (even in the audience) and at the same time the search for stability in the hands of a partner actually very logically merged with the theme of love between a woman and a man, when solid ground under one's feet is lost so easily. Unlike the previous duet, in Celestial Noise there was almost no room for improvisation or spontaneous reactions, everything required precise timing and the interplay of partners who conveyed emotion to the audience almost exclusively through impressive physical action, and their facial expressions and subtle gestures receded into the background....
