Biography

Andrene Brown is an accomplished and versatile multi-instrumentalist whose passion and dedication to music have made her one of Jamaica’s most promising talents. Her musical journey began in 2004 with the Music for Peace Concert Band, affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Montego Bay.
She went on to lend her vocal and instrumental talents to the Tennshann Invasion Band of the Montego Bay Boys & Girls Club, before becoming a standout performer with The Young Jamaica Ensemble at Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College in 2010.
As a principal clarinetist and instructor, Andrene has represe ... nted her school, college, and country with distinction at major events including:
• The National Festival of the Performing Arts
• The Western Jamaica International Music Festival (WJIMF)
• The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) competitions, where she and her ensembles earned multiple gold and silver medals and national awards
Her dedication and excellence later propelled her onto the world stage at The World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Long Beach, California, where she proudly represented Jamaica and won:
• 2024 Senior Grand Champion Performer of the World
• 2024 Senior Instrumentalist of the World
• 2024 Division Champion
• Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals
Andrene is a sought-after performer and a member of the prestigious Hayes Concert Band, captivating audiences both locally and internationally. She also served as a dedicated musician with the Jamaica Military Band, where she showcased her artistry on both the clarinet and alto saxophone.
Beyond the stage, Andrene continues to shape Jamaica’s musical future by mentoring young musicians and performing at diverse events, including weddings, corporate functions, concerts, festivals, and private engagements.
