Arlene May
Bio
Arlene May is a Country Music Singer/Songwriter, who has been performing as a Solo Artist for 25 years.
With her influences being Olivia Newton-John, Lynda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, ABBA, and The Seekers, Arlene incorporates songs from these artists into her repertoire, along with many other favorites which resonate, such as Janice Joplin, Nancy Sinatra, Patsy Cline, Bob Dylan, Kasey Chambers....
With the Diploma of Music and the Advanced Diploma of Music in Performance under her belt, Arlene has had the opportunity to gain experience performing in va ... rious ensembles, and recording her own music, which culminated in the release of a Single, and the completion and release of an EP – all of which are original works.
After touring from Perth to Karratha in June 2024, Arlene was invited to work as a resident musician at Mataranka Homestead where she joined a duo with Garry Booth, and worked as a duo for 3 months at Mataranka before heading off and touring as the duo (The Didge & The Diva) until now.
