Description

I'm a Pianist who loves playing all types of music, but I am primarily a cocktail pianist. I like to take well known pop songs and arrange them for piano. These are always really well received. I love the challenge of being asked requests on the spot and to be able to make that persons day. The main genres of music I like to play are Jazz, Pop covers, Classical and Lounge Music. My performances are all done from memory but I can also read sheet music.

Biography

I am a grade 8 pianist and a music student about to graduate from the University of York. I'm a classically trained pianist but am very versatile and love playing all genres of music. I have been the resident pianist at the Grand Hotel in York and at Browns Restaurant and Brasserie in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I have also played at several weddings (see reference below).

We heard Cam playing the keyboards prior to our wedding and thought he would make an ideal pianist for the big day, we were not disappointed! We had an initial meeting with Cam and asked him to play for both the wedding ceremony and the wedding breakfast. For the ceremony we advised him which pieces of music we would like him to play and when to play them. On the wedding day Cam arrived early and smartly dressed. We had given him four new pieces of music to learn for the ceremony, at short notice and he played them faultlessly without the need for sheet music. His timing throughout the ceremony was perfect. During the wedding breakfast, we gave Cam free rein to play anything from his play list. Again, he played song after song perfectly for the full duration of the event. Cam was a pleasure to deal with throughout and nothing was too much trouble. A highly skilled, professional and talented musician.
