Biography
Soul Kinda Wonderful (SKW) is an award-winning vocal group based in the UK that lives up to their name. For more than a decade, they have been celebrating the golden era of Soul and Motown by performing wonderful hit songs by iconic groups like The Temptations, The Four Tops, and The Drifters on stages across the world. (SKW has a special fondness for The Drifters because their name was derived from the group’s song, “Some Kinda Wonderful.” And SKW has even been recognized as the UK’s official Number 1 music tribute to the legendary act.)
Although known for putting their spin on
... classic songs by other artists from the 50s and 60s, Soul Kinda Wonderful also records their own music. One of their songs is our newest First Listen. It’s called “Never Knew Love (Till I Found You).” Co-written by the group’s mainstay Richie Sampson, along with Glenn Keiles, the midtempo tune is a clear nod to the classic soul of yesteryear that had love as its core message. The lyrics speak of finding love that was needed but had yet to be discovered.

Just seen them on the P & O's Aurora. Loved the music and the banter. Best band for quite a while. Shame the sets weren't longer really enjoyed them and they were lovely to talk to around the ship. Hope to see them again sometime.

Absolutely Amazing show last night at Bunn Leisure..these Guys are a Sensational Group and covered all my Favourite throw back Soul/ Motown tunes..I can’t Dance much due to Leg problems but I was right up front strutting my stuff on my seat and had an Amazing evening and to make it even more Amazing they Introduced and backed the Legend that is the Master George McRae...FANTASTIC ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC....THANKS GUYS XXXX

..Soul Kinda Wonderful has been running for over a decade and Richie Sampson has performed alongside former longstanding stars of the legendary group: The Drifters , such as Ray Lewis, Roy Hemmings, Billy Lewis , Butch Leake , Peter Lamar ,et al.
He was also Frontman for The British Soul and Motown group "The Foundations"...(worldwide hit "Build me up buttercup").
Richie currently tours with the legendary female group "The Three Degrees" in theatres across the UK. Needless to say, The Three Degrees are a favourite of Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales.

This show is a full length virtual concert of the 3 times National music award winning group performing the classic soul and Motown hits of the Drifters, The Temptations, The Four Tops and many more . The show displays the fabulous soul voices of band members Richie Sampson, Roy Bailey and Conrad J Jackson , breathing new live in to those great songs we love and adore. Victor Alexander former member of the group Johnny Johnson and the Vaggabonds joins us on percussion.
Soul Kinda Wonderful are the official number tribute act to the legendary Drifters in the UK, Voted by the Agency's Association of Great Britton.
