Come to the party inside your own head! Hypno-magician Jeffrey Powers combines magic, mentalism, comedy, and genuine hypnosis into an audience participation show called The Hypno Party, that will mystify, educate and entertain his audience, as he unleashes the power of his volunteers' own subconscious minds. Jeffrey starts the show with magical illusions, demonstrating certain hypnotic phenomena, such as "hypnotizing" a balloon to believe a long steel needle is just a tickling feather, which won't make it pop when he inserts it in one side of the balloon and pulls it out the other! Then h ... e engages the whole audience in "suggestibility tests" to find out who has the most hypnotic talent. Those select audience members are then invited onstage to be the real "stars" of the show. After guiding the volunteers into a deep hypnotic trance, Jeffrey unleashes the creative power of their own subconscious minds. Whether discovering they have eleven fingers, dancing uncontrollably like they have jumping beans in their feet, or forgetting their own first names, the volunteers, along with their friends and family in the audience, are guaranteed to remember how much fun they had. Children as young as 10 as well as adults enjoy hypnosis shows. In fact, children and teens often make the best hypnotic subjects. The skits he does can be adjusted from squeaky clean to very naughty, as the client may desire. The show can be pure entertainment, or it can be tailored to deliver an educational or motivational message, such as to a corporate sales meeting. Jeffery Lyle Segal, M.A., C. Ht., also known as hypno-magician "Jeffrey Powers", brings over 40 years of performing experience to The Hypno Party. He began working as Magic-Clown "The Great Whodunit" in the Chicago area at age 10. At age 15 he was hired as the youngest ever walkaround entertainer at the legendary Pickle Barrel Restaurant. He went on to study theater at Stanford, Northwestern and SUNY Binghamton universities, earning his B.S. in Speech and M.A. in Theater. He became a professional actor/singer for some time before breaking into film with his skills as a special effects make ... up artist. Now he has returned to performing through his own fascination with hypnosis, combining his early love of magic with his hypnotic talents. He is also a Certified Hypnotist (C. Ht.) member of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) and the International Certifying Board for Clinical Hypnotherapists (ICBCH). Acting Experience

As a musical theater performer, he worked with various theaters in Chicago and the midwest, with roles including Ben Benjamin in "God's Favorite" starring Abe Vigoda, and understudy to film star John Saxon as Don Quixote in "Man of La Mancha." He is also a singer/songwriter who has performed his original songs, as well as the Great American Songbook, in cabarets in L.A., Chicago, and NYC. Former member Actors Equity Association.

I enjoy equally working with my heart, my head, and my hands. Over the years, I have moved freely between artistic challenges in each of those areas. You can either call me a Renaissance artist, or someone for whom there are not enough "D's" in "A.D.D."! Magic and makeup have both let me indulge my fascination with illusion and transformation on a physical level. Hypnosis now lets me transform people on a subconscious level. I can offer workshops for self improvement, sales skills, performance enhancement, and habit modification along with my regular show. I can also tailor my show as a keynote speaker to deliver important messages of success, motivation and positivity to groups of all kinds.
