Joel Castro is an aerialist based in San Diego, California. Joel specializes in Aerial Silks, Rope, and Aerial Hoop. He started his training at the age of 10. He has gained experience in all aerial, ground, rebound, clowning and dance. After his first time performing he knew that he wanted to pursue circus full time, and has since performed in 9 productions with San Diego Circus Center. In 2022, Joel performed in the San Diego Circus Festival and received the Cirque Du Soleil NextGen award. He currently trains full time in the Preparatory Program at San Diego Circus Center.
