Description

All singing work will be considered from parties to events, local or worldwide. I am a versatile, crossover artist who loves to sing operatic pop, 80s to current day pop and rock music. Very suitable for emotional settings such as weddings, celebrations or funerals and equally so for family, corporate or older audiences. I have many songs to choose from and can be asked for specific song(s) for a bespoke performance.

Jonathan has done an amazing job at our Care Home as a Choir Master. He has led the Choir practices for our residents who are living with Alzheimer's and Dementia and we are delighted at the response from our residents. Jonathan was extremely patient and very understanding of their disabilities. He naturally brought out the very best in our residents and they thoroughly enjoyed the hour-long choir practice and taking part. Jonathan was very entertaining and pitched his sessions just at the correct level of understanding encouraging our residents to sing some new songs and some songs that they were already very familiar with. He also came dressed in some very striking outfits which brought a great deal of amusement to our residents. As a care provider it was wonderful to work with Jonathan who understood our residents needs and had full empathy when engaging in communication with them. In 2006, my husband-to-be and I asked him if he would sing at our wedding. He accepted the “gig” and proceeded to write lyrics to existing music and so “Illumination” was created. There were a few tears shed - for all the right reasons - as it was so special. One of our guests commented afterwards that if there had been a CD available he would have purchased it there and then. When it came to our 10th wedding anniversary we held a party in our garden and naturally, Jonathan came to reprise that song and perform another, called “10 years on” that was a humorous take on the intervening years. Again, his performance was very well received and, if we last that long (we are a bit long in the tooth now) he will be invited back in a few years time for our silver wedding. If we are in a care home by then, as he can entertain all age groups, we will book him to sing to our fellow residents and when we do pop off, we hope he will sing at that party too! Meet the Act

I love to perform to an engaged audience who like to either sit back and enjoy or get up and dance. I'm very personable which is why most of my compliments come from the 50+ bracket but still engage well with everyone at any age. I have ballads in English, French, Italian and Spanish in my repertoire and up-tempo songs from the 80s to the current day. I am a crossover artist and sing from Andrea Bocelli to The Killer via the 80s. I am a songwriter but not a musician. I have penned many ballads to beautiful tunes I have discovered from artists like Secret Garden and one from Carly Simon.
