Biography

I started developing his love of music at the age of about 8 years old. By the time he was 13, he was playing drums in a Church environment and went on to play in Jazz bands and clubs all over the Cape Peninsula, with the likes of Basil Moses, Monty Weber and the Dias Brothers. Being inspired by them, I eventually branched out into every other genre he could, with local bands such as 3D, Acoustica, Born 2 Rock and The Deep Purple Tribute Band, playing with some brilliant SA musicians.
I now perform as a solo act, as well as playing with a number of bands. My music and style ranges from jazz ... , reggae, old-school rock going back to the 60’s, Afrikaans, Country to current music.
My repertoire includes Neil Diamond, Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Young, Michael Bublè, CCR, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Ed Sheeran, Passenger, Josh Turner, Alan Jackson, Theuns Jordaan, Ricus Nel, Riaan Benade, Bok van Blerk ….. even ZZ Top, Elvis and Jim Reeves. I have a wide range of music, as I prefer to cater to all walks of life, that just one specific genre. I currently also do two tribute shows, i.e. Neil Diamond and Chris Rhea.
The venues I have played at, includes not only pubs, restaurants and private functions, but Melkbos Golf Estate, NSRI Fundraisers, Athlone Stadium (Soccer World Cup 2010), Willowbridge Barnyard (Hano Fourie Trust Variety Show) and was a finalist in the Western Cape Star Search 2015 competition.

I started developing my love of music at the age of about 8 years old and it has just grown. I have playing with and been inspired by some brilliant SA musicians.
I do play drums - my passion and my first love, when it comes to instruments, but perform mostly as a solo act, singing and playing acoustic guitar. My music and style ranges from jazz, reggae, old-school rock going back to the 60’s, Afrikaans, Country to current music. I do this wide variety, as I try to please everyone in my audience, by singing something that each of them love. I also currently do two tribute shows, i.e. Neil ... Diamond and Chris Rhea.
Music is my life and my passion and I dedicate hours to rehearsing and learning from the greats. I have honed my skills and can fit perfectly into any music situation.
