Lille Røde : Danish for Little Red. Created and fronted by singer/songwriter Anna Mountford, a former professional actress and singer who starred in Lloyd Webber’s musical Starlight Express in the West End as a teenager and went on to become a regular face on British TV. Some of you may remember her as a regular in Holby City. Mountford produces sassy, intelligent upbeat pop music, sounding like St Vincent meets Macy Grey.
Fronting original and cover bands in the UK and USA she began songwriting herself whilst living and working in LA in 2010 as a response to the experience that was 'wo ... rking in Hollywood'.
This lady knows how to entertain and engage with an audience. Lille Rode looks like a popstar and delivers as if your event is the main stage at Glastonbury...if that's what you'd like!

Lille Rode – Little Red – is the performing canvas for front-woman Anna Mountford. Anna comes from a stage and screen background so it’s hardly surprising that her music has been influenced by those experiences, both good and not so good. Luckily for us, the listening public, those experiences have provided excellent fodder for some brilliant songs. The evening’s set comprised an infection of well-crafted, hooky songs that you just have to hum along with. By the end of the evening songs like ‘The Boys’ Club’ and ‘Ruby Shoes’ were printed into my brain and in unguarded moments on my way home I found myself singing the choruses. The roots of Lille Rode’s music arguably stretch back to the post punk 80s, but Anna sounds like Anna and the songs stand on their own feet, with their own character and tone. Expect a performance, expect an element of theatre – and, if you can get close enough, watch Anna’s eyes as she tells those tales. Great songs, superb performance.

Radio Bath were proud to present Lille road as the headline act at Party in the Park hosted by Radio Bath and the Peasedown St John Committee. Over 2,800 people came that day. In 2022 Lille road again headlined and lead by the magnificent Anna Mountford did not disappoint. This year they returned but just as Anna, the band had shrunk …into a large electrical music box, from where pre play took place. Anna took to the stage and despite a few technical problems managed to get herself through the 45 minute set. Even with the tech problems here remarkable stage presence shone through just as it did in 2022. The total control of the stage, with her band or on her own really showed in both performances. All original material, I will be definitely going to her next show and would encourage anyone else to do the same.
