Experience
My name is Meinir, and I grew up singing, dancing and music making in Wales. I've been fortunate to have spent significant parts of my life and career living and performing in London, Sydney and at sea. I'm now back in South Wales.
I'm a former member of Grammy award-winning acapella group The Swingle Singers, with whom I spent 5 wonderful years performing at many of the World's greatest concert halls, theatres, festivals and jazz clubs.
I was honoured to perform the Welsh National Anthem at the 2012 Australia v Wales rugby union match in Etihad Stadium, Melbourne. I've worked as a vocal
... ist in London’s West End and in touring shows in the UK and South Africa. Whilst living in Sydney, I founded the close harmony vocal trio Midnight Avenue and harp and voice duo Harp Divas. I recorded and performed with many professional ensembles in Australia and I enjoyed being a busy concert, wedding, and funeral soloist.
On my return to Wales I created the classical crossover duo Indigo May with Julie Kench, who is also a former Swingle Singer. We interweave classical and modern gems with a fresh twist. We currently perform in the UK, abroad, and as regular guest artists on Cruises. Indigo May Duo
