Biography

MONIKA BOUTIKE is an artist whose journey through different parts of the world provided her a treasure trove of musical prestige from a diverse music history. Her blend of genres and rhythms really adds an elegant, worldly touch to her sets, making them stand out with a distinctive on creative and deeply evocative rich feel. Monica’s dj-sets can tell a story, building from slick lounge-atmosphere, she’s got an incredible taste in music, mixing organic deep house plus jazzy vibes for a more sophisticated mood, and the smooth rhythms of Bossa Nova, electronica, contemporary disco for a dinin ... g event, pool side parties, reception or Gala openings. She is able to read the crowd so reading so well, dropping the right tracks at the right time. She can create that perfect vibe with a ‘hot’ selection for the dance floor, bring the guests along in never-ending fun leaving a memorable impression. Experience

My DJ career began in São Paulo, Brazil, with my first notable DJ-residency at the SKYE view-bar at the DESIGN Fashion HOTEL “Hotel Unique”, which is São Paulo's finest rooftop. SKYE is composed of three ambients on the same terrace: restaurant, bar and the red swimming-pool underwater sound, a very special and unique hotspot, a true architectural masterpiece by Ruy Ohtake. https://www.hotelunique.com/?lang=en_us/ As resident DJ, I was responsible for building the right atmosphere six days a week, from the early evening, ensuring the restaurant, plus bar and swimming-pool-side-guests ha ... ve the same music with appropriated volume, bringing my creativity with Lounge Music tunes to the upbeat contemporary tracks while the night went on, playing great music assuring the fun element! From this 5 Star Hotel 3 year DJ-residency, I moved to London to make Music Technology course, while studying to get my BTEC Certificate, I became resident-DJ at a boutique hotel from Hilton chain, at "The Trafalgar" in Trafalgar Square. After two years, I received an invite to perform at poolside in a resort in Jordan for a seasonal contract, and from there I have been touring around the globe, from one 5 Star to another- mostly design hotels. I am passionate about hospitality industry- working as resident-DJ, it gave me opportunities to perform in so many countries as in Japan, and to be living in wonderful cities such as Dubai, Ibiza, Miami, amongst many others and of course to be in the paradise of the Maldives resorts twice was a blessing! Also to have some very special openings such as the "Intercontinental" Hotel Osaka, "Fasano’’ Hotel Trancoso, in Bahia, Brazil- at their first 'brand' resort https://fasano.com.br/en/hotel/fasano-trancoso/ , where I performed from it’s opening, following 6 months contract. in London where I am based, I also performed 6 months in Mandarin Oriental Hotel at The Aubrey restaurant/bar and venues in Mayfair as "Lucky Cat" (Gordon Ramsay's) and Belgravia at "Sachi" rooftop in the iconic Pantechnicon.
