Yes-Hello✨ My name is Ngasii and I've been looking to live this dream full time from as young as he age of 4 when I first witnessed The Spice Girls in an airing of their legendary Spiceworld Tour of 1998.
I grew up as the middle son between two brothers, with an eldest sister making a total of 4 kids to a Mama and Daddy in a small town in South Africa called Cala. Part from our youngest brother who DJs occasionally when he finds the time, I am the only one in my entire family (immediate and extended) pursuing music as a career and as such meant that a lot of my skills I picked up on my o ... wn in ate beginning and later on in university where I finally got to be surrounded by like-minded peers.
I sing and write songs primarily and focus a lot on making music for people who don't have the benefit or luxury of getting to introspect often or spend time to unpack the things that weigh on them. I like songs that finally allow you the safe space to release the tension you've got built up. One of my favourite instruments, other than voice, that I love to incorporate into my mission is guitar which I like mostly as an. aid to songwriting. The warmth of the strings act like a music embrace that accompany the lyrics.
I am vastly becoming a polyglot. I currently speak 4 languages namely English, Xhosa, Afrikaans and Zulu while I understand an additional 3 more in Sotho, Tswana and Pedi. I have begun learning French and Swahili and find them quite enjoyable and accessible thanks to my proficiency in English and Xhosa respectively.
I adoring dance. My personal expertise lie in the traditional and modern dance styles of my home country but my interests expand to the art of movement to music in general. The body as an instrument is such a gorgeous fascination. Read More
