Biography

Nicky has been singing for over 30 years, (a dancer prior to that) and grew up on Soul, R&B, Funk, Pop and Reggae. She has been in many bands and her main influences and inspirations come from both old and new artists such as Stevie Wonder, Gladys Night, The Isley Brothers & James Brown to Paloma Faith, Amy Winehouse & Paulo Nutini. Over the years, she has supported Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club and more recently Soul II Soul. She has performed at the Silverstone Grand Prix with Bernie Marsden (White Snake) and also played Glastonbury several times with ‘Fl ... ipside’. She was a part of the UK’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest with Imaani; appearing on many TV shows including Top Of The Pops. She has also provided backing vocals with several top Elvis Tribute artists, top George Michael Tribute Artist Wayne Dilks and currently providing vocals for several theatre shows - Lost in Music, Chaka - the music of Chaka Khan, Give Me The Night - George Benson and the former lead singer of The Stylistics - Eban Brown.
