O.T Couche is a versatile and energetic performer with over a decade of musical involvement across solo artistry, band collaboration, and church-based performance. Since 2018, he has built a presence as a solo artist, at various Cape Town venues, engaging diverse audiences, and managing his own bookings and brand promotion.
His musical foundation is rooted in early ensemble work, including serving as a Church Youth Group Drummer (2014–2019), where he supported worship services and youth events with rhythmic stability and emotional sensitivity. Acting Experience

As part of M&M Music Academy, OT expanded his musical training beyond vocal performance into musical theatre, participating in productions that required both acting and singing. These performances strengthened his stage presence, emotional expression, and ability to connect with audiences through character portrayal. Working within ensemble casts also enhanced his timing, discipline, and collaborative skills, adding a valuable theatrical dimension to his overall musical profile.

Meet the Act

OT was born in Cape Town, spent his childhood growing up in East London, and returned to Cape Town at 15, carrying with him a deep love for music that has been part of his identity since infancy. According to his mom, he would sing or hum himself to sleep as a baby, long before he understood what music even was — it was simply part of him.
His passion showed early. In primary school, while teachers were teaching, OT would be tapping drum rhythms on his desk, practising for his marimba band without even realising it. Rhythm lived in his hands, and melody lived in his voice.
By 15, he be ... gan writing and recording music using his friends’ equipment — a turning point that opened the door to his artistic journey. From that moment, he never looked back.
