An established Vocal and Guitar Duo that have played together for over 35 years, most recently working for Carnival Cruise Lines (6 contracts from 2019 - 2023), both holding current SFME.certificates US C1/D VISAs and Australian Maritme Crew and eVisitor VISAs, receiving "Exceptional" grade performance reviews.
They perform songs from a wide repertoire of over 350 popular songs spanning the 1950's to the present day, with a focus on 1950-80's music.
They have performed at Music Festivals, Folk Clubs, Restaurants, Pubs and Wine Bars across the UK and performed within a Family band for ove ... r 10 years with daughters Sarah and Kathryn, who are now professional artists in their own right.
Stuart & Paula have performed as a duo in folk clubs & folk festivals across the UK during the 1980-90s as a semi professional musicians and created a family acoustic band in mid 2000's performing at many major folk festivals in the Midlands & Southern UK.
They featured on Bob Harris's Sky Arts documentary of Fairport Convention's "Cropredy Festival" in 2010 after being picked out by Dave Pegg of Fairport Convention as one of only 20 acts to appear at their festival on the bill with Status Quo, Little Feat, Martin Taylor, Rick Wakeman & Fairport Convention.
In addition to performing as a Duo, Stuart is a skilled classical guitarist & vocalist and has performed many solo gigs as a classical guitarist at weddings, Restaurants and clubs and plays classical guitar, steel string acoustic, semi-acoustic jazz, electric guitars and keyboards.
They have recorded 3 studio CDs (1 as duo, 2 as family band) & played around 100 gigs as clubs & festivals from 2005 - 2010. Also recorded & released a number of "Live" performance CDs - more info on web-site.
Booked for main stage performances at Bromyard, Warwick, Upton, Bromsgrove, Banbury, Burntwood & other folk festivals from 2005-2010.
From 2004 - 15: Stuart performed as Classical/Ragtime guitarist in Music & Dance productions for "Dance Unlimited" working with the deputy musical director of the West End's "Lion King", with on-stage performances to back the dance troupe.
Following 6 employment contracts with Carnival Cruise Lines, from 2019-2023, on 3 long (3-4 month) and 3 shorter "Journey" Cruise (2-3 week) contracts, and receiving "Exceptional" performance reviews, they are now seeking to broaden their target cruise company opportunities specifically for short (2-4 week) contract opportunities with other cruise lines.
