A Classically Trained guitarist, his Classical Guitar repertoire spans traditional pieces by composers such as Albeniz, Carcassi, Tarrega, Sor etc. but also includes Modern Classics, such as Cavatina, Shadow of Your Smile & Blue Moon and Jazz influenced pieces such as I've Got Rhythm, Georgia on my Mind, Take Five, Classical Gas, Anji....
Stuart has taken the classical skills, learned on the nylon strung guitar, and transposed these onto the steel-strung instrument and is an accomplished Ragtime and Jazz guitarist, hav ... ing been strongly influence by the playing of John James and Martin Taylor.
As well as performing as a Solo Classical Guitarist, Stuart also performs in a Vocal & Guitar Duo with wife, Paula, (see separate profile) and as a solo Vocalist/guitarist.
