Biography

Victoria began studying the piano at the age of nine. At age seventeen she was awarded a guaranteed unconditional offer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to study with Victor Sangiorgio and John Thwaites. In addition to studying solo piano performance at the conservatoire, she became passionate about chamber music and received coaching from renowned Brodsky Quartet, former leader of BBC SSO Bernard Docherty and chamber/accompanist lecturer Scott Mitchell. Victoria also developed an interest in music education and completed a two year first-class folio on Techniques of Teaching which has ... enabled her to have a 100% pass rate for all of her students who sit Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music examinations. Since graduating with honours, she has co-founded and managed a successful piano trio who have performed music ranging from J.S. Bach to The Beatles at over 200 events, accompanied a variety of vocalists and instrumentalists for concerts and exams, and recorded as a session musician. Having had lots of experience performing various styles of music including classical, pop, Scottish traditional and jazz, Victoria has become proficient in writing unique arrangements which is evident in her vast repertoire list. Victoria has experience performing as a soloist, as an accompanist and in chamber ensembles, including playing with Scotland’s highly regarded chamber ensemble ‘Mr McFalls Chamber’. She has performed in reputable venues such as Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, National Museum of Scotland Edinburgh, The Tollbooth Stirling, The Sage Gateshead and also in some of the finest bars, restaurants and hotels all over Scotland and the North East of England.
