One moment you are grooving to a funky bassline straight out of the 70s, the next you're lost in a dreamy, ethereal electronic soundscape. Hawley seamlessly transitions between genres, weaving together influences from rock, hip-hop, jazz, classical, and everything in between. A very well rounded musician who has performed for various audiences across the United Kingdom and abroad. It all started about 40 years ago when he decided to teach himself to play piano. He then went on to teach himself to play the electronic organ, theatre organ, and pipe organ, along with some brass instruments. While at home in the UK, He has volunteered as a musician / entertainer for a variety of events including kid parties, weddings, and corporate events, among others. He has the ability to adapt to any environment, and collaborates with the organizers of an event to make sure my music fits in well with your special occasion. Always by his side is his partner Rowen who acts as MC and ensures everything runs smoothly.
So whether it’s for a more formal event such as a funeral or a big office party of even a laid back chill lounge, we will both help make your event extra special.
While he is proud to call the UK his home, he has always been passionate about playing many styles of music and cultures. This is due to the fact that he has been able to experience a variety of them while he travelled across Europe, North America and even Oceania, where he lived for many years. More specifically, in New Zealand, before returning home to the United Kingdom a few years ago.
Having been a Yamaha fan for many years, it should come as no surprise that he owns 2 brilliant instruments that he carries around the country to entertain crowds. He also owns a Yamaha PSR-775 arranger workstation and an older Yamaha AR100 Electone that he mostly uses to record music at home. Meet the Act:
Music has been the heartbeat of my life for as long as I can remember. I began playing the piano at age 6 and gave my first public performance at 8 — from that moment, I knew I was meant to bring joy to others through music.
Over the past three decades, I’ve performed at everything from intimate weddings to grand concert venues, and I still get the same thrill from making people smile, cry, dance, and connect through sound. Whether I’m playing a dreamy wedding piano piece, leading a singalong, or DJing a lively celebration, I tailor every performance to suit the atmosph ... ere and audience.
One of the most surprising moments in my career was receiving a comment from Pope Francis himself after a church livestream performance I gave during lockdown — a reminder of how music can truly reach across borders and hearts.
As a neurodivergent musician, I also bring a unique sense of empathy and creativity to what I do, and I’m especially passionate about making music accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability. In addition to live events, I teach and support students and individuals with learning differences, dementia, and physical disabilities.
Outside of performing, I love spending time with my dog Ollie, exploring beautiful UK towns and villages, and sharing meaningful musical moments wherever I go.
