Biography

Sevine is more than a vocalist; she is a storyteller who bridges the gap between the grandeur of the world’s great concert halls and the sophisticated intimacy of a luxury lounge. With a career spanning 30 years over three continents—from the main stage as a featured soloist with the Istanbul Symphony Orchestra to her prestigious residency at Jazz at Lincoln Center—she has mastered the rare art of "The Total Performance."
An actress at heart, Sevine’s magic lies in her ability to connect. Whether she is performing a sultry French chanson, a soaring Broadway showstopper, or the very ... hits that captured the hearts of millions on The Voice Spain, she treats every song as a narrative. This theatrical flair, combined with a remarkable linguistic range— performing fluently in 11 languages—allows her to make every guest in an international audience feel as though she is singing just for them.
Her portfolio of self-scripted concept shows, such as "From Paris to New York" and “Fun Fatale - You May Call Me Sevine Dion” offers a turnkey solution for venues seeking world-class, high-concept entertainment. Having lived and performed across the globe, Sevine brings an effortless, cosmopolitan elegance to the stage. She doesn't just fill a room with music; she transforms the atmosphere, leaving her audience with the lingering sense that they have witnessed something truly special.

Meet the Act

'An actress at heart, a vocalist in life'. That’s how vocalist Sevine describes herself. Chantal Goya, Broadway musicals, Louis de Funes and Charles Aznavour were all unsuspecting imaginary friends who would later influence the performer she had set out to become.
Throughout a trajectory made up of travels and ever- changing landscapes, Sevine has lent her vocal abilities to a number of collaborations, ranging from Oriental jazz to weddings and events jazz and pop standards, Liza Minnelli tribute shows and pop sing-along numbers.
In 2013, Sevine started a 2-year residency at Doha’s J ... azz at Lincoln Center, sharing the stage with the likes of Dominick Farinacci, Christian Tamburr, Gregory Generet, and members of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.
2016 saw Sevine release her multilingual debut album Je Grandis under the artistic direction of Mike Massy. It was featured as album of the month on itunes (November 2016). Her satirical debut single and video ‘Ana Mech Fenneneh’ (I’m not a bimbo’) was released to wide acclaim from press, both local and regional.
Inspired by jazz, French chanson and 19th century Paris, Sevine’s live performance is always delightfully witty, theatrical, modern and timeless all at the same time.
Her multicultural background and commanding stage presence has earned her a special spot in Barcelona where she lent her versatility and multilingual singing abilities to various projects and performances around the world, earning her a special feature as guest vocalist with the Istanbul Symphony Orchestra in their end of year concert celebrated on December 27th, 2024.
Recent projects include Una Noche Francesa - pure French jazz and swing under the direction of Spanish Trumpeter and composer David Pastor, Chérie B, an intimate French chanson piano-vocal duo founded with Swiss pianist and composer Gilles Estoppey, Sympathique, a delightfully elegant quintet inspired by vintage Latin American scenery and music, and Emoción - a classical tango-inspired crossover ensemble with members of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra with a US debut performance at Dizzy’s - Lincoln Center, New York in 2019.
Besides performing, Sevine has produced and hosted an award-winning documentary web series ‘Sev & the City’. The series showcases the best of the Barcelona's music and arts scene through Sevine’s personal perspective as a musician and a foreigner. Read More
