I have 20 yrs + of Saxophone and Piano playing experience. I am able to play by ear and learn any songs and saxophone horn lines. Comfortable playing in all genres of bands, playing with DJs or to instrumental tracks. I can read most Piano and saxophone lead sheets. I have previous acting experience as well.

Experience

Playing alto, tenor and soprano sax, Shane can be found as a part of many local horn sections for Live Dates or Studio Sessions.
While in Los Angeles Shane served as arranger, contractor and most notably an integral part of the "House of Vibe" Horns. This band mixes hip hop, jazz, R&B and pop and has backed up the likes of Chali2Na, De La Soul, etc…. When they’re not on the road, House of Vibe has a home in the heart of Santa Monica at the world famous HARVELLE’s night club every Wednesday.
Shane also led the Oasis Horns, a horn section at Oasis Church, in the heart o ... f Hollywood. This church sees over 2500 people every weekend walk thru it’s doors. Oasis presents cutting edge music and a full band each weekend, where McCollum served as section leader, contractor and arranger. His work can also be heard on “The Greatest Love, “With God” and “A Worship Experience”, three of Oasis’s live and studio recordings, available on iTunes.
