Specializing in aerial entertainment, Sidonie brings almost 10 years of corporate experience to any event she participates in. Act options include but are not limited to: aerial hoop, aerial silks, Multicorde (an original concept by Sidonie Adamson and Tanya Burka), duo aerial hoop and unicycle. Acts can be hired 'as is' or adapted to fit any event through use of costume and change of music. Options such as ambient entertainment provide a 'living decoration' feature to an event without pulling complete focus, while the more standard, feature act is a 4.5 to 6 minute routine created to wow and ... inspire.

Biography

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Sidonie’s introduction to circus was as a recreational athlete at CircusWest (then known as Cirkids.) She quickly fell in love with the freedom and physicality of circus and in her early teens it became her goal to pursue performing as a career. As her training demands became more serious, she was fortunate to work with coaches and performers such as Aaron Johnson, Sandra Botnen, Shelly Kastner and Sylvia Getrudix to name a few. She fought hard to make the most of Vancouver’s budding professional circus scene and in 2007 she debuted as a professional a ... rtist with ‘The Avatar Circus Project’ - a small contemporary circus company based in Vancouver.
Since then, Sidonie has gone on to work with companies such as The Underground Circus, Champagne Showgirls and Aida Cruise Lines. Her almost decade long career has seen her perform in countless corporate events, weddings and productions both locally and throughout North America. Most recently she toured the Baltic sea for 5 months with Aida Cruise Lines.
A resourceful and tenacious performer Sidonie conquers any challenge she is met with. While her main disciplines are Cerceau (solo and duo), silks/multicordes and unicycle, she has also performed double trapeze, duo rope, dance trapeze, acrobatics and on numerous original apparatuses. She enjoys creating new and unique content, regardless of what she is performing and prides herself on constantly reinventing and inventing new sequences and technique.
