‘Sing a Song: A Tribute to The Carpenters’
Kerry Burley and Rob Gallagher present Sing a Song: A Tribute to The Carpenters - an international touring tribute to the iconic brother and sister duo. Based in Scotland, the band have toured the UK, Ireland and Asia both as a duo and with their talented six-piece band, receiving rave reviews internationally and performing at some of the most state-of the art theatres and stadiums in the world. Kerry and Rob are hugely experienced performers who build an instant and easy rapport with audiences, making sure everyone has an enjoyable time, wha
... tever the venue.
The 100 minute (2 x 50 minute sets or one longer set ) show celebrates all the hits of Karen and Richard, with a few surprises along the way, including some 60s covers included on the Oldies Medley from their best-selling 'Now and Then' album to get audiences on their feet. Kerry's energy is infectious and there are lots of chances for audiences to participate and sing along - it's actively encouraged!
Kerry's silky, sound-a-like vocals and Rob's live piano/vocals are enhanced in theatres and larger venues by an incredible band who help to recreate the unique sound of the Carpenters’ live shows, taking audiences back with the ‘songs they loved so well’ - and of course with vintage 70s costumes and instruments - it really is Yesterday Once More!
Huge hits including We've Only Just Begun, Close To You, Please Mr Postman and Top Of The World are interwoven with lots of stories behind the music (and lots of humour), making this show a must-see for Carpenters fans and music lovers alike.
Sing a Song: A Tribute to the Carpenters are available as a duo or as a four, five or six piece live band, so there's a show to suit any size of venue.
Sing a Song present: 'Christmas with The Carpenters'
Our sing-along Christmas show for the festive period is also available to book, and includes all the hits from the Carpenters' classic 'Christmas Portrait' album, including Sleigh Ride, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas and their 1971 hit Christmas single Merry Christmas Darling.

She holds a PGDip. in music, PGDip. in German Language and a Master’s Degree in Education and has extensive teaching, lecturing and coaching experience.
K
... erry has performed extensively in theatre tours of the UK, Germany and Spain as well as on cruise ships in various tributes, choirs, jazz trios, bands and as a soloist, and continues to perform her Soul and Motown show ‘Soul Sister’ as well as solo cabaret work in theatres, holiday parks and clubs in the UK and abroad.
Previous theatrical roles include: Mrs Anna ‘The King and I’; Mrs Lovett ‘Sweeny Todd’; ‘Fantine’ in Les Miserables; Nelly Forbush in ‘South Pacific’ and professional tours of The ‘Rodgers and Hammerstein Songbook’ and ‘Side by Side by Sondheim.’
Rob Gallagher
Rob has been performing for more than 25 years in bands, orchestras, choirs, tribute acts, and musical theatre shows.
A self confessed Carpenters ‘super fan’, Rob took up drums first just like his idol, Karen Carpenter. A few years later Rob decided to learn piano and keyboard, just like his other idol, Richard Carpenter!
Stage credits include ‘Footloose’; ‘Sunshine on Leith’; ‘Rent’; and ‘Urinetown’.
Rob has played keyboards for ABBA tributes and covers bands across the UK.
Rob is also the Executive Director of a charity that supports disabled and neurodivergent musicians in Scotland.
‘Sing a Song: A Tribute to The Carpenters’ is a labour of love for Rob, who has studied by ear, and made it his mission to emulate the complex arrangements of Richard Carpenters since he was about 8 years old.
Kerry and Rob are delighted to be bringing the beautiful music of The Carpenters to audiences nationally and internationally, and Kerry is doing her very best to pay respectful vocal tribute to Karen Carpenter.
